Reminder: PSSap Members on Extended Leave

If you have PSSap members on extended leave due to illness or injury, please:

  • Encourage them to contact PSSap about their Income Protection (IP) cover.
  • Remind them that even offset benefits may still include a 15.4% Superannuation contribution — paid as part of the PSSap insurance offering, not by the employer.
  • Highlight early notification to PSSap for access to valuable rehabilitation options that can assist their recovery.

Reminder: Departmental Reports for CSS and PSS Members

Ensure departmental reports are submitted promptly, and membership balances are checked before a member ceases employment. Imbalances must be corrected prior to cessation to avoid delays in benefit processing. Note: Post-exit member contribution adjustments cannot be accepted, but employer contributions can still be finalised.
