Fees and premiums

With lifePLUS Protect auto or choice insurance, monthly deductions come out of the ADF Super account to cover the cost of insurance fees and premiums.

Insurance fees: $18 a year

Our insurance fee is $1.50 per month (or $18 a year). This covers the cost of providing insurance to your client.

We calculate the insurance fee on a pro rata basis at the end of each calendar month, and the amount is deducted from the ADF Super account at the beginning of the following month.

Premiums are calculated on the cover held

Premiums are the amount paid for the insurance cover held, and they are deducted from the ADF Super account—unless the member has opted out of cover or cancels cover, or cover stops for another reason (for example, if the account has become inactive).

The cost of cover is based on age at the last birthday, and how much the member is insured for under lifePLUS Protect auto or choice.

We calculate Income Protection and Death and Total Permanent Disablement (TPD) premiums at the end of each calendar month. Premium amounts vary slightly month-to-month, depending on the date cover started and the number of days in each month.

How much cover costs

You’ll find the current insurance premiums and some worked examples of lifePLUS Protect auto and choice cover in the Insurance and your ADF Super booklet. If you need a hand calculating cover, just give us a call.
